This very special process sets Pantherella apart from many other sock producers and has always been essential to the philosophy of the company.

Hand linking is a method of closing the toe seam by pairing together the stitches on either side, then linking them with a single thread to create a uniformly smooth and perfectly flat finish.

The cheaper alternative is to overlock the seam but this often causes discomfort, particularly noticeable when a perfectly-fitting shoe is worn. If you've ever removed your socks to reveal an unsightly red mark along your toes, you will soon realise the benefits of switching to a hand linked seam!

Once tried and tested, you will never want to return to those uncomfortable knobbly toe seams!

Incidentally, our ladies' socks are all hand linked in hot pink, so they will always be easily identifiable as true Pantherellas!
