Size is important when it comes to buying socks! For a perfect fit, you should always make sure that the size is correct, just as you do every time you buy a pair of shoes.
There are 2 basic sock-buying rules:
1. Stretch socks : the addition of nylon provides significant stretch, allowing the socks to fit more than one shoe size.
2. Sized socks : these contain little or no nylon, so provide only the minimum stretch. This is the traditional method of buying socks and ensures the highest content of natural fibres. These socks have their own unique sizes.
